  • Absolutely not! We encourage everyone to stop by and say hello! At Shark Sports Boxing Gym we take honor in being the most approachable gym in the area. We want you to feel at home so you get the best out of your time here.

    You’ll find community among positive, inspiring men and women. Everyone will be “in your corner”, especially our coaches who care about you and your goals – and will do whatever it takes to help you achieve them.

    Our gym is engaging, challenging, and exciting – you’ll be so motivated you’ll want to keep coming back and become a better you.

  • No. Our training sessions are for all – no matter your age or fitness level.  A common misunderstanding is that you need to be ‘in shape’ before starting boxing fitness training. This is completely false. Our workouts are designed to allow our members to train at their own pace while at the same time, giving the advanced students the opportunity to challenge themselves.

  • You don’t need to have ever boxed. Our coaches will teach you how to throw punches correctly, as well as learn how to defend yourself while helping you reach your fitness goals. Training sessions at Shark Sports Boxing Gym are high-intensity, non-contact, and fun!

  • No. Our boxing training sessions are non-contact and non-combat – you’ll get lean and toned like a fighter without ever having to fight!

  • No. While we do offer sparring sessions for our more advanced fighters, we absolutely do not pressure anyone to spar. If you are interested in testing yourself with sparring, we recommend training first for a month, building up that strength and conditioning, and then talk to our coaches to see your progress and what your next step is before stepping into the ring with another individual. We take the health of our members very seriously regarding this subject and will make sure that everything regarding sparring is properly and safely handled.

  • Yes. We do offer a 1- Day Free Trial where you can see what Shark Sports Boxing Gym is all about! You can sign up and register for a workout session on our website, or come in person and sign our waiver.

    Should you decide to officially join our gym, then an official monthly payment would be required upon your next visit.

  • Our boxing training sessions are well-balanced workouts consisting of boxing fitness, cardio training, and functional fitness. It is a full-body workout – legs, core, back, shoulders, and arms.

    You’ll be doing standard conditioning drills like jumping jacks, sit-ups, and quick feet drills as well as fundamental boxing including shadow boxing and bag work.

    If this is your first time joining us, or don’t have any gear of your own, we’ll wrap your hands to protect them and get you in a pair of real boxing gloves.

    We also have items such as headgear, shoes, mouthguards, gloves, and hand wraps for sale inside our gym!

  • We have workout sessions 7 days a week so the amount of training you take is based on your own personal schedule. Most of our members train about 1-3 times per week and see great results. Of course, we’d love to see everyone come in every day if they can. Remember, throwing good technical punches and having great footwork requires a lot of repetition which can be further accelerated through training.

  • Our boxing training sessions last between 45 minutes to an hour and a half.

    The great part about our gym, compared to many other gyms, is that once you have finished your warm-ups, bag and mitt work, and the circuit training, then the gym is yours to continue to work on whatever you’d like to train on.

    Do you want to use our weights? Go on ahead! Want to work on your footwork still? Have at it! Need to nail down that left hook properly? Get back on the bag! You’re family to us, so the gym is yours to do as you please.

  • Handwraps & boxing gloves are strongly required to attend lessons and during any training session. We have traditional hand wraps and quick slip-on wraps for those on the run, both can be purchased inside our gym!

    We also offer mouthguards and headgear for sale for our more advanced fighters.

  • Whatever makes you feel comfortable and powerful! Any cross-training sneaker is recommended for class but if you own a pair of boxing shoes you will definitely be set up for great footwork success!

    Keep in mind that our gym is attended by young children so please be mindful of which attire is appropriate to wear.

  • Yes! For those looking for general boxing training, we offer this service for $120/month. For those looking for private 1-on-1 sessions, we offer training for $200/month.

  • At Shark Sports Boxing Gym we allow our youth to participate in workouts with the adults. Your children will be taught by our professional coaches while being inspired by our male and female fighters working out alongside them.

    We’ve seen tremendous growth in some of our kids, and are excited to see them on the path to being either professional fighters or well-disciplined individuals set up for success in life.

  • Yes! This is only available for families starting with three members. For family discount pricing, please send us a message, or come to the gym for more information!

  • Yes. There are a few parking spots available in front of our gym (be sure to park on the lanes that have green-painted parking blocks).

    We also have a few parking spots directly behind our gym as well (the white lanes). If there is no more room there, then you could find street parking in the neighborhood nearby.
